-ONLY GOD knew what 2009 had in store for our family.
-ONLY GOD could have led Chad and I, on such very short notice, to Africa on a mission trip that would change our hearts....and our lives....forever!
-ONLY GOD could inspire the dream to start a non-profit "Hope For His Children" with the eternal goal of increasing awareness and generating support for the most needy children of the world.
-ONLY GOD, the Father to the fatherless, could move the heart of an earthly father to utter the words "I think we should adopt again!" in our closet on a Sunday after church.
-ONLY GOD could have orchestrated and accomplished the miracle of Derek in our arms less than 6 months later! (Who, but God, would have even imagined that possible!?!?)
-ONLY GOD could soften the hearts of 3 older siblings to accept a new life as part of their own "flesh and blood."
-ONLY GOD can grow, stretch, change and blend a family like that....
AND THEREFORE.....
-ONLY GOD should get the glory!!!
-ONLY GOD should get the praise!!!
As I look back over the course of 2009, there is no question that God led our family on a journey far more amazing, exciting, challenging and rewarding then I could have ever imagined.
As I look at the blank pages of my 2010 calendar....I can't help but wonder with excitement (and let's be honest...a little bit of nervous anticipation) where this God-path will lead us....
ONLY GOD knows.

Happy New Year Michelle! I want to know more about the ministry and how we can be involved...
Amen Sister! I can only agree, we have our earthly thoughts, dreams of what we think life will be, but GOd has his plans that are so much greater! I am so glad I was able to share a part of your journey and you a part of mine that I only hope continues!
Hi Michelle,
You are too funny!
So I have never made a bag before!! But how hard can it be right? We are probably talking something very simple. Four corners, open top (maybe with a little button flap?) and simple shoulder strap. Are you a sewer? Any advice for me? Enough people want one that I am definitely going to make a protype and post it! Do you think I should post photos of fabric samples too?
Wow...i know I am late on this post but it has encourage me a lot. Today I lost my job and trusting God in all that has happen.
I love it when you post on your blog. I'm thinking about not blogging anymore. (Have I mentioned that?)
I love it that I remember when this was just a prayer and hope and desire of *your* heart and now... YOU HAVE A SON in Derek.
God is SO good.
Michelle, you do not know me, but I have been reading your blog & just ordered 4 t shirts for our family. We actually need 7, but just wanted to see what sizes they'll be to see what we need. You truly amaze me & inspire me. I am in the process of a 2nd adoption. 1st was China, now Ethiopia with me being around #45 for a girl. I'd so love to share more with you & get to know you if possible. My name is Jackie Bitz & you can reach me at jackiebitz@hotmail.com I'm not on facebook or anything special. Thanks for all you are doing for the Lord! May you be blessed Richly!
